Photography by Couple Cups | Mauna Lani, Big Island of Hawaiʻi

Some weddings are beautiful. And then some weddings stop you in your tracks — where every detail, every glance, every golden moment feels like it was made for exactly this place, exactly this couple.
Morgan and Justin’s wedding at Mauna Lani was the latter.
Where the Big Island Does What It Does Best
Mauna Lani has a way of making everything feel effortless and extraordinary at the same time. Nestled along the Kohala Coast with views that stretch out over the Pacific, it’s one of those rare venues where the setting does half the work — and the talented team at Auberge handles the other half with grace and precision. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was simply there: warm, luxurious, and quietly magical.
We pulled up, took one look at the light hitting the lava fields, and knew this was going to be a beautiful day to photograph.

Morgan & Justin
What struck us most about Morgan and Justin, even before the ceremony began, was how easy they were together. There’s a certain kind of couple who makes a photographer’s job feel like a gift — they’re present, they’re playful, and when they look at each other, you don’t have to tell them to do anything. You just press the shutter.
From their first look to the final dance, the love between them was authentic, unhurried, and completely real. Those are exactly the moments we live to capture.

The Day, Beautifully Crafted
A wedding this seamless doesn’t happen by accident — it happens because the right people are in the room.
The incredible team at Isle Love Weddings — Crystal, Lauren, and Hailey — orchestrated every detail with warmth and precision, ensuring that Morgan and Justin never had to think about anything except each other. Working alongside the venue, Mauna Lani, the day flowed from one beautiful moment to the next.

Kassi Bissman of Big Island Beauty & Bridal had Morgan absolutely glowing — stunning, effortless, her. The florals from Grace Flowers Hawaii were lush and romantic, perfectly at home in a setting like Mauna Lani. And Hawaii Island Events brought the lighting and rental magic that transformed the reception space into something genuinely breathtaking as the sun went down.
Kahu Tom led a ceremony that was heartfelt and meaningful, and the sounds of Bula Akamu filled the air with that unmistakable Hawaiʻi spirit throughout the evening. Our friends at Kahena Cinema were right there alongside us, capturing it all on film — always a pleasure sharing a wedding day with a team that cares as deeply as they do.

What Morgan & Justin Had to Say
We always hold our breath a little waiting for a couple’s response. Then this arrived:
“We had an absolutely incredible experience with Couple Cups and could not be happier. From start to finish, everything was seamless, professional, and stress-free. We felt completely comfortable in front of the camera and Kris captured our day so beautifully and authentically. I’m confident in our decision to have Couple Cups for my wedding day and look forward to a future opportunity to work together again.”
We are so deeply grateful. Morgan and Justin — thank you for trusting us with the most important day of your lives. It was an honor to be there, and we cannot wait for that future opportunity you mentioned.
