Aloha, I’m Kris, the photographer behind Couple Cups.
I photograph weddings, elopements, and couples here on the Big Island of Hawai‘i. My favorite photographs are usually the moments you didn’t even realize were happening. The little smiles, happy tears, and everything in between.
You don’t need to know how to pose. I’ll help when you need direction and give you space to enjoy the day when you don’t.

How Much Photography Time Do You Need?
1–2 hours: Perfect for a simple elopement, ceremony, and portraits together.
4 hours: A lovely choice for an intimate wedding, with time for getting ready, your ceremony, portraits, and part of the celebration.
6–8 hours: For couples who want more of the day documented, from the excitement beforehand through the celebration afterward.

A Little About Us
Couple Cups is Kris and Sandra, a husband-and-wife team based on the Big Island. Kris is behind the camera. Sandra helps with communication and can also plan your ceremony through her separate business, Big Island Elopement. You can book photography on its own. Planning is always optional.

We’re awkward in front of the camera. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Most of our couples say the same thing. We’ll give you a little direction, help you feel comfortable, and keep everything natural.
Do you photograph weddings outside the Big Island?
Yes. We are based on the Big Island and may also be available for weddings on Maui, O‘ahu, Kaua‘i, and beyond. Travel is quoted separately when applicable.
Can we add more photography hours?
Of course, subject to availability. Additional wedding and elopement photography is $850 per hour.
Can we see complete wedding galleries?
Yes! We’re happy to share complete galleries when we have permission from our couples. It’s a great way to see how we photograph the whole celebration, not just the portraits.
How do we reserve our wedding date?
Send us your date, location or venue, and a little about your plans. We’ll check availability and send you the photography options, agreement, and retainer details.
