Hawaii Destination wedding with all of our close family and friends. Simple and outdoor. Let the outdoor
scenery of the plantation be the decoration and set the vibe. Lots of greenery with monstera leafs,
white pampas grass, and white simple flowers.
Ohana Retreat at the Kona Plantation in Kona, Hawaii. It has two houses that could accommodate our
immediate families and both wedding parties. It has a private pool between the houses, two yards, a
tennis court, and a botanical garden/orchard with over 100 different tropical fruits and cacao. Upon
arrival, we received a tour of the property and orchard and tasted the ripe fruits, homemade dark
chocolate, and Kona coffee. We were welcome to go into the orchard anytime and pick our own fruits
for the day.
Kyndall, the Brides dress was from Lovely Bridal Denver. I knew I wanted to be comfortable in my wedding dress and something a little flashier since we were keeping the wedding decorations simple. I wanted a dress with sparkle so in the Hawaiian sun it would be sparkling down the aisle. I went with a lace A-line dress that had a pattern of flowers and the train had sparkles on it.
The dress was made by Louvienne. It was dress that I felt comfortable and beautiful in. What I received a lot of compliments on and people found to be “me” because I love to be unique was my shoes. I knew I wanted platform white thick heels. I endlessly searched Google for the shoes I had imagined and could not find the ideal ones. Then I searched on Amazon and found the perfect pair that happened to be around $30, score! They were perfect for what I had envisioned and not what you would think a “typical” bride would wear.
Konner, the Grooms tux was made in Thailand. In 2019 as a Graduation trip from graduating as an Audiologist (Kyndall the Bride) we went to Thailand. When we were in Bangkok, Konner had custom suits made for him as it is a popular thing to do while in Bangkok and done at a reasonable price and within 24 hours. We were told we could order a Tux in the future because they saved all of Konner’s measurements. While we were looking for Tux’s to rent or buy for the wedding we couldn’t find one that was exactly what we were imagining. Then Konner remembered he could order a custom tux from Thailand and it would fit exactly right. It was a no brainer! Konner was able to embroider the wedding date on the inside pocket and even pick the pattern for the jackets inside lining, of course he chose leopard print to match our cat Ringo who is a Bengal. Konner’s pocket square was made from the tank top I was wearing the day I met him. Konner did not know I still had the tank top and had kept it for the 9 years we were dating. I gave him a card with the pocket square in it the morning of the wedding.
